Nick Shanks

Nick joined OTC Projects Ltd in November 2022 and has been an integral part of getting our first few projects off the ground.

Nick commenced his 19-year career in construction as an apprentice carpenter for a large commercial company in Auckland. Upon completion of his apprenticeship Nick moved to the Gold Coast to build high end architectural houses before moving back to NZ to take up a role site management for a well-established commercial construction and interiors company.

He continued to progress his career development and was offered a project management role which he continued in for the next seven years gaining significant experience in weathertightness refurbishments, vertical commercial construction, and engineered facades.

In 2018 Nick and his family decided to relocate Whangarei after accepting a role as construction manager for a design and build construction company in Whangarei. Over the next four years he led both the pre-construction and construction divisions of the company delivering both notable and award-winning projects within the Northland region.

Nick thoroughly enjoys the collaborative approach to design and build projects and prides himself on ensuring all contractor deliverables are met, if not exceeded. His leadership, industry knowledge, and attention to detail ensure a positive outcome for our clients.
